Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have broken their silence on the many comments about editing of the Princess of Wales's photos to deny that sources close to them have made comments about how the Duchess of Sussex would have handled a similar situation.
A post published in PageSix magazine said: "Sources close to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry" said: "This is not a mistake Meghan would ever make... She has a keen eye and terrific attention to detail."
Speaking to Newsweek, the spokesperson referred to quotes published by the newspaper, which said a source "close to Prince William, Harry and his wife" had not come from them.
The source in question told Page Six that the article was edited incorrectly and its context was misunderstood. The statement marks the first time Harry and his wife have officially responded to the photo-editing controversy.
In addition to claims made about Meghan "would never make the same mistake", Page Six also published quotes from an insider who stated that the Sussexes "would have been destroyed" if they had published an image similarly modified.
