Ben Affleck appeared all smiles as he arrived at his Los Angeles office on Tuesday amid rumors of a divorce from Jennifer Lopez and rumors of a new romance with Kick Kennedy.
The actor, 52, smiled as he clutched an iced coffee as he arrived in a blue suit and pink shirt. The star carried a leather bag for the day at the office and sported a clean-shaven look.
Amidst the divorce news, Ben has been seen spending time with RFK Jr.'s daughter, Kick, in recent weeks. He previously had a brief relationship with Kick before getting back together with now-estranged wife Lopez, sources have revealed.
Sources have indicated Dailymail that Kick and Ben are 'enjoying time together', but the writer is staying 'closed' about their relationship because she doesn't want to be seen as a 'lover'.
"Ben and Kick had a relationship before he got back with JLo," the source began. "They met because Ben is from Boston, and when you live in Boston, the Kennedy family is royalty."
The source continued: “So when he started hanging out with Kick, he thought he'd joined the Kennedy family. But she was very young and not ready for anything serious."
The source emphasized that their romance did not happen during the actor's relationship with Jennifer.
"They didn't have an affair during his marriage, but it's interesting to Kick's friends that as soon as this divorce happened, suddenly Ben is spending time with an old relationship that he considers royalty."
As for how Kick sees the actor, the source stated: "She thinks he's intelligent and very much into her style, but she's staying very private as she doesn't want to be seen as a lover. She is not a lover. She's not like JLo at all and wants to keep her life private."
The source explained that Kick isn't wasting too much time worrying about Jennifer's feelings about Ben's decision to get back together, adding: "Kick is in love with Ben and she doesn't really care what JLo thinks, honestly."
The source continued: “They're taking it day by day, but so far she's enjoying her time with him. They spend time at the Beverly Hills Hotel because it offers a level of privacy for celebrities that no other place does."
Meanwhile, Lopez is "doing the best she can" even though she "didn't want a divorce" from the actor, a source told People on Monday.
"After submitting the request for divorce, it seems relieved", the source shared. "Her family and friends agree that it was the right decision. She is surrounded by lots of love and support. She will be fine. She is strong and always comes out on top."
