Actress Angelina Jolie arrived in Venice just a few hours before the start of the 81st Film Festival. The star-studded parade begins with Tim Burton with his film "Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice".
The cast and crew of the highly anticipated film, Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega and Monica Bellucci, arrived at the Film Festival as well.
Wrapped up in a chic beige coat and complemented by a chic black skirt and leather boots, Jolie exuded elegance as she arrived. The Maleficent star is preparing to appear on stage for the film "Maria", directed by Kilian Pablo Larrain, where she will portray the iconic opera singer Maria Callas.
Notably, her ex-husband Brad Pitt is also scheduled to appear, for the premiere of his new film Wolves, which stars George Clooney. Jolie's last appearance on the red carpet was 17 years ago with Brad Pitt.
The ongoing tensions between Angelina and Brad remain evident amid their unsettled divorce. To prevent any meeting, the artistic director of the festival, Alberto Barbera, has arranged for their appearances to be separate.
Angelina arrived the day before the festival opened and will present her film on Thursday, August 29, before immediately leaving with director Pablo Larraín for the Telluride Festival in Colorado.
"Brad will arrive in Venice on Saturday," Barbera noted. "There's no way they're going through the Lido on the same day."
Brad Pitt stands in his position, hesitating is surrendered, as Angelina searches for a solution, seeking an end to this relentless battle that casts a shadow over her family.
