The World Health Organization has given good news about anti-Covid-19 vaccines. The WHO has put an end to doubts about the effectiveness of the vaccines used so far, with the appearance of new mutations of the virus.
Recently, Hans Kluge, the regional director for Europe at the World Health Organization, confirmed that all approved vaccines respond to all variants of the virus. Speaking at a press conference yesterday, he said:
"All variants of the Covid-19 virus can be controlled in the same way with public health and social measures."
"The available approved vaccines respond to all variants of the Covid-19 virus that have appeared so far," said Kluge.
Public health officials are currently studying the variant believed to have first appeared in India, which has caused a health disaster in the Asian nation. So far there is no evidence showing that the Indian variant is resistant to the effectiveness of vaccines.
Until now, the World Health Organization has approved for emergency use several vaccines which are: Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson&Johnson, AstraZeneca and finally the Chinese vaccine from Sinovac. A significant number of countries, including Albania, also use the Russian Sputnik V vaccine.
