The well-known singer, Demi Lovato has confessed some very shocking details about her past in the documentary series "Demi Lovato: "Dancing With the Devil".
Lovato has revealed that she was sexually assaulted twice, in 2018, on the night of her overdose by a drug dealer, and when she was just 15, she revealed she was sexually abused by another teenager while working for the Disney Channel in the late 2000s.
"Not only did I overdose. I was taken advantage of. They found me naked. He left me for dead after he took advantage of me. When I woke up in the hospital, they asked me if we had consensual relations", Lovato confessed and added that it was only after a month of the overdose that she realized that she had been sexually abused.
Lovato also shared how she was raped as a teenager.
"When I was a teenager, I was in a similar situation. I lost my virginity in a rape. My first time was not romantic. I had to see this person all the time and I coped in other ways", the singer said.
We recall that in July 2020, Demi Lovato got engaged to Max Ehrich and just two months later they both broke up. In a recent interview, the singer said that the separation was a big sign for her sexual orientation.
"When I started growing up, I started to realize how special I really am. Last year I was engaged to a man and when it didn't work out I thought 'This is a big sign'. I thought I would spend my life with someone. Now that it wasn't going to happen, I felt freer to live my truth. I connected with a girl and then I realized that I liked this much more. I felt better. I was very fine", said Demi in an interview for "Glamour" magazine.
