The two brothers, Lulzim Hajdaraj and Gezimi, traveled from Cologne to Bad Neunar, Germany, in order to help the people who were damaged by the floods that engulfed Europe.
Lulzimi said that on Sunday in the late hours of the evening they returned home, after staying in the city which, according to him, was almost completely flooded.
"I told him I'm from Kosovo, he started crying..." says the Albanian who helped the Germans after the floods. "We went in the morning and waited for a long time in lines to enter the city", said Hajdaraj.
Among other things, he said that as soon as they arrived in the city, they asked who needed help in cleaning the apartments and bars.
"On the first floors, the basements were broken, there was a lot of mud. We helped them throw them out. It was sad to see an entire city destroyed like that", said the Albanian from the village of Abri in the municipality of Drenas.
Lulzimi added that the Germans were happy that these two Albanian brothers had gone out of their way to help them.
"They were happy that we had not forgotten their help that they did during the war and what the German state still does today. Another resident we met asked us where we are from, and we told him that we come from Kosovo and we came to help him for this disaster that happened. He started to cry and said several times 'thank you for joining us in these difficult moments'.
He showed that there was an Albanian with them who came to the aid of the flooded residents.
