Demi Lovato's fiance, Jutes, has opened up about a very emotional and historic moment in their relationship. During an appearance on The Viall Files on Thursday, Oct. 10, Jutes spoke up when he asked singer Lovato, 32, to marry him in 2023.
"I wrote a song," he said. "I'm not a guitar player, but I can play some chords. So it took me a week just to write the chords for this song. Then I wrote a song and then I practiced it."
"Again, I'm not a guitar player, so the rehearsal of this song ends in "Will you marry me?" it was really hard," added the singer-songwriter. "I would mess up like three out of four times, so when it came time to do it, I was like, I got lucky and I just nailed it." I definitely almost burst into tears a few times,” admitted Jutes, whose real name is Jordan Lutes.
Further, Jutes said he asked Lovato's team to "prepare some things and distract him” before he performed, hoping to catch her off guard when she wasn't expecting a proposal. When it came time to propose, Jutes said he was "sure" she would say yes.
