Actor Barry Keoghan has spoken openly about his mother's drug addiction, who died of a heroin overdose when Barry was just 12. So, Barry has stated that he is "haunted" by memories of his "beautiful, wonderful" mother.
The Oscar-nominated actor, who is now 32, opened up about how his mother Debbie died of a heroin overdose and how he had nothing to do with his father.
"It still haunts me, you don't forget those things," he told The Louis Theroux Podcast about his mother's death.
You don't forget waiting outside the social services office waiting for a new family to pick you up and then going with them to a whole new environment.
The actor also spoke about the features with which he still remembers his late mother.
My mom was a wonderful woman. Tall, dark haired, just beautiful. It is sad to see people go through such a struggle and defeat such a struggle.
