Demi Lovato has rarely spoken about the reason that led her to choose to become a singer. The artist who recently posed for the cover of the magazine "Hollywood Reporter" explained that the reason why she became part of the Disney Channel at a young age was her father, they write foreign media.
As she says, she believed that if she succeeded in this industry she would win the love and interest of her father, who had abandoned her.
"I think a part of me has always believed that if I made it in the industry I would get the love that I didn't get from my father," said the singer.
She then added: "I have always pursued success because I knew it would bring me back into his sights and make him proud of me."
She even pointed out that now that she has overcome the psychological problems left by the absence of her father, she feels that she does not need the entertainment industry, as she did before.
"Now that I've dealt with these issues around my father, I don't need the industry as much as I once did and I'm proud of myself for making it this far,” she pointed out.
Demi Lovato looks back on her Disney years now and feels profound sadness, wondering how many people she treated poorly. "I think about people in the wardrobe department on my TV show because I'd go in there in bad moods all the time" https://t.co/dyxliWN8bM pic.twitter.com/Wu5rHr8pcZ
