The Kosovo police say that in response to the criminal groups, one of the attackers in the Banjska monastery was killed.
In the announcement made to the media, it is stated that the criminal groups are continuing with attacks on the Police, so a response was necessary.
"Police units in accordance with the situation and the danger presented by the sporadic attacks of criminal groups, in self-defense of themselves and the citizens of that area, have been forced to respond to the criminal groups, where according to the information so far, one of the attackers has been killed," he announced. The police announce that the situation in the north of the country, specifically in the area of the village of Banjska, continues to be tense, and that criminal groups from time to time are attacking police units in the field with firearms.
For security reasons, the police say that the two border crossings with Serbia, Jarinje and Bërnjak, have been closed.
