The murder of 14-year-old Martin Cani at the 9-year-old school "Fan Noli" has shocked the whole of Albania. Meanwhile, marches were held in the capital for the justice of the deceased teenager, also the city of Elbasan became part of them.
A small group of young people, parents, teachers and civil society activists gathered at 17.00 in "Gensher" Square in the center of the city. Through their messages, they appealed and demanded that order and security in schools be at the maximum level.
The organizers and participants in this protest expressed their great disappointment that hundreds and thousands of students and parents did not join them this evening in the sensitizing march with the motto for more safety in schools.
"We should all demand safety in schools for our children and more safety wherever we live and work"- said the participants in this march where some of them were holding placards with inscriptions such as
"Choose peace, not violence", "Life is precious, protect it", "It is better to speak and denounce, or to die"?
